Chad Hall, PCC

Petra Leadership is led by Chad Hall, PCC.

Chad is a skilled coach, consultant and trainer, who brings the wisdom, experience, and proven processes to move leaders, teams and organizations to higher stages of effectiveness.

Chad partners with his clients to create authentic strengths-based success from the inside and by their own definition. He helps clients clarify who they are, what they want to achieve, and how they can achieve their goals in ways that fit who they really are. It’s not about becoming someone else, it’s about succeeding at being the best version of you!

Chad is the co-author of two books related to coaching: Coaching for Christian Leaders (with Linda Miller, MCC), and Faith Coaching (with Bill Copper, PCC and Kathryn McElveen, ACC).  He has also contributed several articles to Leadership Journal and Christianity Today’s Out of Ur blog.

After nearly a decade as a consultant for leadership and innovative ministry with the NC Baptist Convention, Chad joined the iconic software company SAS Institute as a consultant/coach.  At SAS, he created development programs for managers, leaders and high potentials while also providing coaching to the company’s top performers.  Chad left SAS in 2009 to focus his time on helping a broader clientele find success.  These days he teaches on faculty of Western Seminary, is a Founding Principal with Coach Approach Ministries, and a Partner with iNTERNAL iMPACT.

Chad is recognized as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) by the International Coach Federation, and has logged nearly three-thousand hours coaching leaders and teams.  He is a certified administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and a qualified facilitator of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People Workshop and The Leadership Challenge Workshop.  He holds graduate degrees in theology from Duke University and Princeton Seminary.  Chad lives in Portland, OR with his wife and three young children.
